Body Jet

The Laser Liposuction procedure ruptures the fat cells releasing the oil trapped within the fat. When using Laser Liposuction you must still remove this fatty oil to achieve the best results. Typically this is performed with small cannulas similar to traditional liposuction. The Laser Lipo and micro cannula liposuction is a remarkable improvement over old fashion liposuction but there is still significant damage that occurs to the connective tissue which can cause skin sagging and a great many ruptured fat cells are still left under the skin. These ruptured fat cells cause an inflammatory reaction that can interfere with skin tightening.

The Body-Jet utilizes a powerful burst of water to more effectively clear out the melted fat and ruptured fat cells. This allows the body's natural healing process and the lasers skin tightening process to begin immediately.

*Infiltration of the cannulas into the tissue

Body-Jet and Laser Lipo patients will have very little swelling and thus a more pronounced skin tightening effect. Having performed more laser lipo procedures than any other doctor in the U.S. I can say with assurance that the Body-Jet is the key to getting fantastic skin tightening.

The Body-Jet is also a remarkable tool for Fat Harvesting. Old fashion methods of harvesting fat have resulted in poor fat survival during transfer. When performing fat transfer to the Breast, Buttock, or Face, it is essential that the fat survive evenly.

The Body-Jet gently removes the fat allowing for an 80-90% fat survival. With old fashion methods a survival of less than 50% was common.

The Body-Jet is also the ideal tool for harvesting stem cells.

*Standard Liposuction Method

With normal Liposuction the fat is removed with large sharp cannulas that

• Tear tunnels in the fat
• Damage blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue.

Tunnels create waviness and lumpiness after surgery.
Damage to blood vessels leads to bruising and swelling that on average can last 4-6 months. This swelling prevents the skin from tightening.

Damage to the nerves causes severe pain both during and after the procedure. Patients who have standard old fashion liposuction require a general anesthesia and are left in bed with severe pain for 5-7 days. Damage to the connective tissue means that the skin will sag.

*Body-Jet Liposuction

*Body-Jet Liposuction

The Body-Jet device gently washes out the fat without damaging the blood vessels, nerves, or connective tissue.
It does not create tunnels and thus provides smooth results without tunnels.

Blood Vessels are not damaged so there is little to no swelling, bruising or inflammation. This allows the skin to tighten especially when combined with the laser (Smartlipo/Lipotherme).
Nerves are not damaged so patients can have the procedure done awake and are usually pain free within 48 hours.
The connective tissue remains intact, which prevents skin sagging.
